The Garmin GDL 82 is ADS-B Out equipment. ADS-B Out configuration is regulated by the FAA, and an incorrect configuration (for example a wrong ICAO address or emitter category) can cause your aircraft to transmit incorrect data and may result in a non-compliance finding. You are responsible for verifying any change against Garmin's official tool and/or a qualified avionics technician, and for ensuring the installation meets all applicable regulations. Any configuration change should be performed by, or under the supervision of, appropriately certificated personnel as required for your aircraft.

The tool talks to your GDL 82 over USB from your browser. Your configuration data is relayed through the server only to drive the device; it is not stored or logged on the server. Feedback you submit (name, email, message) is emailed to the operator and not otherwise retained. This site uses Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics (pages viewed, general location, device type); your aircraft configuration and USB data are never sent to Google Analytics.
